REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LONDON -- Up to 2.4 million customers' data of the British mobile phone retailer, Carphone Warehouse, might have been accessed in a recent cyber-attack, the company said on Saturday.
The breach was discovered on Wednesday, which involved the names, addresses, date of birth information and bank details of 2. 4 million customers, and the credit card data of 90,000 customers, the company said in a statement.
The company has notified local police and hired cyber-attack experts to investigate the breach.
The company said it has taken down affected websites and was trying to inform customers who might be affected by the data breach.
