REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA –- Commission of the People For Tolikara (Komat) reported Gospel Church in Indonesia (GIDI) to the National Commision on Human Rights (Komnas HAM). That was related to human rights violations received by muslims in Tolikara.

"Let the Komnas HAM sees the facts and then takes action," said spokesman of Komat, Adnin Armas, in Komnas HAM, Jakarta, Thursday (6/8).

Adnin came with the Chairman of Komat, Bachtiar Nasir, Fadlan Garamatan, and Chairman of the Komat Advocacy, Zainudin. They were welcomed by investigators of Komnas HAM, Maneger Nasution, in Menteng, South Jakarta.

They gave several evidences, such as newsletters, videos, documents, and some facts that they already investigated in Tolikara. Adnin said that GIDI Tolikara was doing the human rights violations because they did not allowed muslims to pray during Ied Mubarak.

"Komnas HAM takes serious action in this case and we asked government to be responsible,” he said.

He emphasized that the law must be enforced especially in violation, intimidation, threats, violence, and arson. Those actions cannot be allowed to happen again in Tolikara.
