Assistances for Tolikara suggested not through local government

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- After the incident in Tolikara, assistance for refugees and construction of mosque was opened. Spokesman of People Committee (Komat) for Tolikara, Adnin Armas suggested that such assistance was not carried out through local government (Pemda) of Tolikara.

"Conditions in the field wants through local government and this is not good. Afraid it will cause problems, "said Adnin to ROL on Monday, July 27.

He stated, incidentally in local government most of them were non-Muslim majority. Adnin was worrying if the distribution of the assistances carried out by non-Muslims, it would lead the suspicion of slander.

According to him, Tolikara assistances to be channeled through the national official institutions. "Let it be channeled through Baznas, its own Law too they have the right to distribute or there is also Social Affairs Ministry," said Adnin.

For that, he requested on behalf of concord, allowed the provision of such assistances were not only through one door because the aim was also for the people of Papua themselves. Adnin expressed, there have been several humanitarian agencies that will provide the assistances, but that he declared the United Development Party (PPP) will also contribute as much as Rp 1.3 billion.

As is known, victims of Tolikara incident that most Muslims reportedly been evacuated to Wamena, Papua. In addition, the construction of the mosque to be built near the Koramil will also be built soon.
