REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Commission VIII Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPR) Saleh Partaonan Daulay reminded the government to re-strengthen inter-religious dialogue in Papua. The combustion of mosques in Tolikara should be the starting point to rebuild the program of religious people harmony forum (FKUB).

"Through Tolikara incident, we are reminded the importance of a dialogue among religious people. Lest that occurred before the incident is ignorance about the importance of a great day of Eid for Muslims," said Saleh when contacted by ROL, on Monday, July 20.

Commission VIII urged the Religious Affairs Ministry to be able to re-effective the interfaith dialogue program. FKUB program should not simply be socialization.

"The program should be strengthened by the active implementation. Another FKUB will be held while accompanied by internalizing the teachings of their respective religions," said Saleh.

He emphasized that in general the task of the Religious Affairs Ministry divided in two respects. First, ensure the religious education goes well and keep the harmony among religious believers.

"One of incident Tolikara settlement solution is through dialogue. For FKUB itself should still be a program that is active nationally," he added.
