REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin visited Saudi Arabia to see the preparation for the Hajj pilgrimage this year. During his visit, the Religious Affairs Ministry and Southeast Asia Muassasah have agreed on some improved services for Indonesian pilgrims during at Arafat and Mina.

Muassasah was a private institution appointed by the Saudi Arabia government to help the service of Hajj. "Some of the proposed increase in Hajj services in 2015 under the authority of Muassasah successfully agreed in the meeting," Lukman said in a press release received by Republika on Monday, July 13.

He explained that on the meeting had been agreed the entire carpets on tents for pilgrims in Arafah which were shabby and dusty will be replaced with new ones. In addition, Ministry also will strive for every tent in Arafat will be equipped by water coolant or air conditioning, considering the heat at Arafat.

Related to the increase in services in Mina, Lukman said Muasasah will expand the facility outlet that could be used to charge handphone in each tent. In addition, Muassasah will also provide buses for worshipers who lived in a Mina's tent away from Jamarat to go to place of jumrah throwing.

In addition, Religious Affairs Ministry and Muassasah also agreed to improve the quality of catering for Indonesian pilgrims during in Arafat and Mina, primarily related to diverse types of side dishes.

Minister Lukman Hakim Saifuddin left for Saudi Arabia on Saturday, July 11, to conduct a number of meetings with parties related to the preparation for the Hajj 1436H / 2015M in Jeddah, Mecca, and Medina. In this working visit, Minister also had the opportunity to test the density of public bus services in Makkah.
