Minister Jonan asks airport to operate normally

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The fire incident that occurred at JW Lounge, Terminal 2E Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday, July 5, made the Transportation Minister, Ignasius Jonan, to move quickly so that the problem will be solved as soon as possible.

Jonan also gave instruction that all airport operators have SOP for handling the crisis. He said that it was to be able to handle well the problems that occur at the airport.

In addition, he also instructed the Directorate of the Transportation Ministry to conduct an audit service to all tenants of commercial space at the airport. Jonan asked it was done to ensure the guarantee of security and safety aspects of the airport.

"If there are tenants of commercial space does not meet the standards of security and safety, the airport asked not hesitates to terminate the contract," he continued.
