S. Korea targeting 20 thousands Indonesian tourist

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The South Korean government was targeting more than 20 thousand tourists from Indonesia will visit South Korea after the completion of MERS virus which was targeted by the end of July.

"After the outbreak of MERS successfully handled entirely by Korea until the end of July, KTO hoped to attract more than 20 thousand tourists from Indonesia," said Director of Korea Tourism Organization Jakarta Office (KTO Jakarta), Oh Hyonjae at the Embassy of Republic Korea, Jakarta, on Wednesday night, July 1.

Oh said, later to attract tourists from Indonesia, KTO cooperate with Indonesian travel agents will promote the friendly Muslim tour in South Korea. With this program, South Korea will provide prayer room (musholla) and Muslim Friendly Restaurant that serve food which was not made by pork and liquor.

"We, in the South Korea provide prayer room and Muslim friendly restaurant. So, we provide a restaurant that does not sell pork and liquor, which ingredients and cooking place are separated from other foods (with pork). And it is friendly to Muslims, we’re trying to provide that,”said Oh.

For the time being, Oh added, these restaurants were widely available in Seoul city, but in some other regions have also begun to be provided.
