REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Lately the brawl between residents often occurred. Even the police had banned 'sahur on the road', since the brawl occurred just before the dawn.
Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said he will soon anticipate the brawl between residents. He admitted that he had cooperated with police to avoid prolonged fighting between residents.
"Therefore, we want to form a team with the regional police, we are preparing it," said Ahok, Basuki's nickname at City Hall, on Tuesday, June 30.
Previously, Metro Jaya police chief, Inspector General Tito Karnavian also visited Ahok, on last Thursday, June 25. Tito explained that he will form an integrated team of social conflicts handling, one of which was the brawl.
"Integrated team of handling social conflicts. Social conflict that include fighting between villages," said Tito at City Hall Jakarta.
On the occasion, Tito explained to Basuki for securing Jakarta. "We held a team integrated by Interstudy, there are police, local government, national military, and public figures, so that we do proactive preventive measures. In order to there will no longer the brawl places like in Johar," said Tito.
