REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Criminal Investigators of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) on Monday, June 22, was interrogating Former of State Owned Enterprises Minister (BUMN), Dahlan Iskan. He examined as a witness in the case of procurement of fuel oil (BBM) High Speed Diesel (HSD) in 2010. At that time, Dahlan served as PLN president director.
National Police Chief Gen. Badrodin Haiti said, the examination of Dahlan has nothing to do with the case of the sale of condensate that was currently being handled by Directorate of Special Economic Crime of Bareskrim.
"There is no connection, the case is different," he said, at Police Headquarters, on Tuesday, June 23.
Investigator, said Badrodin, have a basis to call Dahlan, because there were facts that were found associated with Dahlan in the case. So it needed clarification to Dahlan.
Therefore, the authority to carry out examinations was in the hands of investigators. Badrodin believed, if it was not needed to obtain clarification then, they will not check Dahlan.
Investigators filed 50 questions against Dahlan. The questions related to documents of the tender related to 2 million tons supply of fuel by PLN for the needs of power plants that use diesel in various regions. The tender was carried out in order to get a cheaper price than the price set by Pertamina.
