KY denies criminalization attempt about Judge Sarpin’s case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Judicial Commission (KY) denied there were any criminalize attempt which addressed to KY after following up public complaints against Judge Sarpin Rizaldi.

"None at all, only when reported," said Commissioner of KY Taufiqurrohman Syahuri when contacted by ROL, on Friday, June 19.

According to him, in spite of the efforts that led to the criminalization, Taufiq made sure it will not affect the verdict, including the insistence that the verdict could fulfill the public justice by the Civil Society Coalition which today met KY officials.

"We'll see, we've already experienced many times deciding the case, it only wait the plenary,” said the man who was a member of the panel team of the complaint against judge Sarpin.

Previously, today some members of the Civil Society Coalition met officials of KY related to clarity of follow-up process of public complaints against judges Sarpin. During the meeting were known that the decision of the Judicial Commission on the fate of the South Jakarta District Court judge will be terminated in the near future.

"The process has been around and has been finished, just wait plenary in KY, one or two weeks there will be a decision," said Erwin Natosmal, a members of Civil Society Coalition.

Erwin revealed that KY was currently in the process of reporting judge of the South Jakarta District Court related to cases of alleged violations of the code of ethics, when it became the sole judge in the case of pretrial Commissioner General Budi Gunawan.
