After administration procedure, KPK’s leader candidates to be evaluated

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of the Selection Committee Team (Pansel), Destry Damayanti said that the leader’s candidates of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will start to be evaluated after they passed administration selection. The evaluation will involve some elements of society.

"Candidates who pass the administration will be announced on June, 27. After that, they will be evaluated by several parties, both public, interfaith leaders and some non-profit institutions that become partners with KPK," she said when contacted by ROL, on Tuesday, June 16.

She explained that evaluation will target the track record of personality of each candidate. Some basic things like personality and everyday behavior will become an important point of evaluation.

"Institutions that are involved in this process, among others, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Muhammadiyah and interfaith representatives. In addition, there are Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) and the Center for the Anti-Corruption Study (Pukat), which became the representatives of anti-corruption NGO," she explained.

After the selection process, she added, candidates will undergo a series of self capability assessment of selection process. The assessment of papers, psychological tests, personality tests and capabilities test and a number of other tests will be undertaken by candidates.

"Those who pass a series of tests will enter the short list of KPK’s leader’s candidates. This short list will be traced the track record by some formal institutions," she said.

According to her, the criminal and civil actions will be the focus track record for those who entered the short list of candidates. Some formal institutions that will help the process of track record are the Attorney General ‘s Office (AGO), the National Police, the Financial Transactions Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the National Intelligence Agency (BIN).
