REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PURWAKARTA -- The construction of the Cikampek-Palimanan toll road in West Java is 99 percent complete, an executive of the project stated.

"We are confident that the new toll road will become operational before the post-fasting Idul Fitri (Lebaran) festivities. Work is now pending on the installation of traffic signs and road marks," Hudaya Arryanto, the deputy president director of PT Lintas Marga Sedaya, noted here on Wednesday.

He affirmed that 99 percent of the work on the project has been completed and will be open to the public before the Lebaran festivities, which falls on July 17-18 this year.

Once operational, the traffic on the 116-kilometer-long toll road will run smoothly, and it will have various facilities such as rest areas, Arryanto stated.

"There are eight rest areas along the Cipali toll road," he revealed.

The rest areas will be located every 30 kilometers, which will allow the toll road users to make a stopover.

Of the eight rest areas, there are four major rest areas, or Class A, and four medium rest areas, or Class B. Basically, the rest areas are the same, but the Class A areas will have a fuel refilling station.
