Indonesian Ambassador to get treatment in Singapore

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, AM Fachir said, Monday, May 11, Indonesian Ambassador for Pakistan, Burhan Muhammad was taken to Singapore for intensive treatment.

“InsyaAllah, today Mr. Burhan will be evacuated to Singapore to get the best treatment. We are also grateful to Pakistan’s government which is good to cooperate with us to deal with Mr. Burhan," said Fachir in Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office, Jakarta, on Monday, May 11.

Fachir said, currently Ambassador Burhan require special care because of a fairly serious burns. "And Singapore has specialized for that, beside it is also close to Indonesia," he said.

Previously, the Mi-17 helicopter reported crashed into a school in the valley of Gilgit on Friday, May 8.  The helicopter carried out a total of 17 people whom are state representatives.

In the unfortunate event, seven people died. One of them was the wife of Ambassador Burhan, Hery Listyawati. The plan, they traveled towards Gilgit-Baltistan to come to the event, which was attended by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif.

Mi-17 helicopter itself is deemed reliable, first made by Russia in accordance with the climatic and geographical conditions in Asia.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Aizaz Chaudhry said the black box or black box of the helicopter has been found. He made sure the accident due to technical reasons. However, the team will immediately conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
