REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) has allocated Rp4 trillion as funding to finance its economic census activities in 2016, Chief of the BPS Suryamin said.
He stated on Friday that till the end of 2015, the bureau will utilize Rp379 billion to prepare for the implementation of the Economic Census 2016.
"The highest part of the funding of Rp4.3 trillion will be used in 2016," Suryamin pointed out during the launch of the logo of the Economic Census 2016 in Jakarta on Friday.
However, he predicted that the funds that will be required for the activities in 2017 and 2018 will not amount to as much.
This decline in the need for operational funds will be because in 2017 and 2018, the program will have entered the stage of processing and analyzing data, activities that will not need high spending.
The census will be carried out in phases and will be completed in 2018.
