Meanwhile, Unpad Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Ahmad remarked that the construction of this facility is a good form of collaboration to build partnerships in the academic field with the universities in Asia and Africa.
"The studies will be carried out by involving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the universities in Asia and Africa," said Hanggono.
He affirmed that the establishment of the Asian-African study center in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference (AAC 2015) will be an appropriate moment to showcase Bandung's excellence in the academic field to the world.
He further added that in the future, the Asian-African study center will be a place to embody the spirit of Bandung in the development map of Asian-African relations.
