REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PAMEKASAN -- A fisherman is missing with boat found floating empty in the sea off Pamekasan, Madura, East Java.
Another fisherman Moh. Anwar found the boat with engine running in the waters of the village of Branta, Tlanakan sub-district on Sunday night.
Anwar knew that the boat belonged to Bustami (50) who was seen going to the sea on Sunday night at 22.00 local time.
Anwar found the boat floating idly in the sea 30 minutes later without Bustami on board.
District military chief Lt.Col. Arm Mawardi said search started immediately that night but failed.
"Search would be resumed this morning," Mawardi said here on Monday.
The incident was the third in the area in the past two weeks.
On March 25, a fisherman from the village of Branta, Fauzan, was found dead his body floating in the sea off Jumiang, after missing the day before.
Earlier on March 1 , the body of Sugianto was found after missing the day before in the sea off Branta.
