"Some 5.3 thousand foreign tourists visited Tangkahan," Edi Sunardi, the manager of the Conservation Response Unit of Tangkahan, remarked here on Monday.
"During 2014, the number of foreign tourist arrivals was very high as compared to the previous year," he noted.
He stated that foreign tourists visited Tangkahan to enjoy the natural panorama and to also catch a glimpse of the elephants.
Moreover, the tourist resort has three waterfalls: Lau Garut, Glugur, and Gua Kambing waterfalls.
The resort has a wide variety of fauna such as elephants, orangutans, siamang, deer, bears, and tigers. The park also has a wide variety of trees in Sumatra.
