President gives directives to district heads from Java, Maluku

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Joko Widodo gave directives to all district heads coming from the provinces in Java and Maluku Islands at the Bogor Palace on Friday.

An official statement from the Home Affairs Ministry's Information Center in Bogor said President Jokowi gave the directives at a coordination meeting.

The meeting was held as a follow-up of the National Development Planning Congress on the National Mid-term Development Plan 2015-2019 (Musrenbangnas RPJMN 2015-2019) in Jakarta last December.

According to the statement, the coordination meeting attended by the district heads and mayors across the country was divided into five phases, and the Friday's congress is the fourth.

Also present at the meeting on Friday at the Bogor Palace were all governors and the chairman and secretary general of All Indonesian District Governments Association (Apkasi).

Numerous issues related to food sovereignty, infrastructure, maritime potential, natural resources, energy, constraints in the licensing services, overlapping laws and sectoral ego were discussed at the meeting.
