REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo promises to solve Police conflict related to Budi Gunawan next week. He said that he had other matters that must be solved first.
"I will solve the conflict next week," Jokowi said on Wednesday during Coordinating Meeting with National Narcotics Agency (BNN) on Wednesday, February 4.
The Head of Team Nine Syafii Maarif earlier said that Jokowi would not install Budi Gunawan as Police Chief. The statement was issued before Indonesian Islamic Congress in Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UNY).
Jokowi argued that he had other problems to be solved first. He is scheduled to visit several countries in ASEAN, namely Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Filipina, from February 5-9. He is predicted to issue the decision after his tour.
