REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Financial Service Authority (OJK) sees that declining fuel price can help bank coping with liquidity problem. Less pressure in liquidity allows bank to expand lending.

"Based on Banking Business Plan (RBB), tanks targets loan growth at 16 percent," Head of Commissioner Board at OJK, Muliaman D Hadad, said on Monday, January 5.

The target is higher than previous year. Based on Indonesian Banking Statistics (SPI), loan growth stood at 12.62 percent in October, lower than previous month.

Hadad said, higher loan target gave a bigger room to expand. He is optimistic that financial industry will grow significantly despite global uncertainty.
