The chronology of the missing AirAsia flight QZ5801

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation explained the chronology of the missing AirAsia QZ5801. The Airbus A320-200 plane with 162 people on board flying from Surabaya to Singapore is still missing.

Based on the data, AirAsia flew from Surabaya at 05:36 am Western Indonesia Time or WIB (22.36 GMT on Saturday) heading to Singapore. It flew at flight level 320, following flight track M-635. 

It contacted air traffic control at 06.12 am (23.12 GMT) through frequency 125.7 MHz. During the contact, the aircraft requested deviation due to en route weather, asking to fly higher to Flight Level 380.

The aircraft was still seen at the radar at 06.16 am (23.16 GMT). However, a minute later, it lost contact with ATC, but still appeared in ADS-B signal. At 06.18 am (23.18 GMT) the target lost from the radar. 

ATC declared INCERFA or uncertainty phase at 07.08 am. Then, the ATC declared ALERFA or alert phase at 07.28 am (00.28 GMT) followed by DETRESPA or distress phase at 07.55 am (00.55 GMT).
