REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources prepares a trillion IDR to provide electricity in outer islands of Indonesia. The ministry set the target that by August 17, 2015, every village near borders will have electricity.
"We target to provide electricity in 47 points in outer islands of Indonesia," Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jarman, said on Thursday, December 18.
A trillion IDR budget will be used to generate 60 mega watt electricity. The Minister Sudirman Said said that he targeted the program to be implemented fully by August 2015 during Indonesian National Day.
"We focus on outer and remote islands. We have identified there are 47 points need electricity," Said said.
