REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it will summon an official of PT Waskita Karya for questioning in corruption case of the Southeast Asian Games athlete house and multipurpose building in South Sumatra in 2010-2011.
"Adi Wibowo, a division head of the state construction company, would be summoned to testify in the case with Rizal Abdullah as the suspect," A KPK chief spokesman Priharsa Nugraha said here on Monday.
KPK will also summon KM Aminuddin, an official of Cipta Karya, Heru Sulaksono, the general manager of PT Nindya Karya, and Mohammad Syafarudin, a director of PT Rotari Persada.
PT Waskita Karya was one of bidder for the sports facility construction project, the tender of which was won by PT Duta Graha Indah (DGI).
PT DGI was declared winner of the tender defeating three other bidders PT Waskita Karya, PT Nindya Karya, and PT Wijaya Karya -- all state companies.
Rizal is facing a maximum sentence of 20 years with a fine of up to Rp1 billion.
Earlier, Rizal told the court trying the marketing manager of PT Duta Graha Indah (DGI) Mohammad El Idris, he received a total of Rp400 million from El Idris as a "commission" from the project.
Rizal also told the court that there was a fee of 2.5 percent of an advanced payment of Rp33 billion of the project for South Sumatra governor Alex Noerdin from PT DGI.
There have been a number of convicts in the athlete house project including former lawmaker and treasurer of the Democrat Party Muhammad Nazaruddin, marketing director of Permai Grup Mindo Rosalina Manulang, former secretarty of the youth and sports minister Wafid Muharam and El Idris.
Mohammad El Idris is now serving a two year jail term with a fine of Rp200 million.
