Jakarta index down, Rupiah gaining

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Jakarta composite index (JCI) opened lower in the first minuted of trading on Monday (17/11).

The index of the Indonesian Stock Exchange fell 12.18 points or 0.24 percent to 5,037.30 points with index of 45 most liquid stocks sliding 0.35 percent to 862.45 points.

Meanwhile rupiah gained against the US dollar trading at the level of 12,174 per dollar from earlier level of 12,200 per dollar.
