REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TULANG BAWANG -- PT Centralpertiwi Bahari (CPB) has shipped its first exports to China of processed shrimp.
Assistant Vice President of Food Processing of PT CPB Samiono expressed satisfaction with the success of the company in its first exports of 23.53 tons of its processed shrimp to China.
The basic material in fresh shrimp is supplied from its modern shrimp farm in Tulangbawang.
"We are glad and satisfied that we have succeeded in fulfilling all the criteria set by the buyer in China," Saminono said here on Saturday.
He said the first shipment via the Panjang port of Bandarlampungon last Tuesday would be followed with the second shipment on Tuesday next week.
Early next month production will begin for the following exports, he added.
He said he was optimistic processed shrimp of the subsidiary of PT Central Proteina Prima Tbk (CP Prima) would be accepted by consumers in China.
"We have been more than 30 years in this business exporting processed shrimp to major markets in the world including the United States, Japan and Europe in addition to Canada, Vietnam and other countries," he said.
The reputation of the company has been recognized in international market . It has been granted accreditation at least 23 times by independent domestic and foreign auditors for good quality of its products.
CPB was the first company in the world accredited by the Global GAP (Good Aquaculture Practices).
