Indonesia offers geothermal project to New Zealand

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NAY PYI TAW -- Indonesia offers New Zealand to invest on geothermal project. The offering was made during the talk between Indonesia's President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and his New Zealand counterpart John Key.

"Indonesia and New Zealand can have a better relationship with real economic cooperation and investment," Jokowi said on the sidelines of 25th ASEAN Summit in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, Thursday, November 13.

Jokowi said that New Zealand had advance experience on developing geothermal power plant. "It is our pleasure to cooperate with New Zealand," he said. He promised to ease any impediment during the process of the investment.

Prime Minister John Key congratulated Jokowi as the seventh Indonesia's President, replacing Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). Key was seen welcoming Jokowi's offer.
