Half of Indonesian hajj pilgrim arrive home

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MADINAH -- Half of Indonesian hajj pilgrims had returned to the country. Based on data from Haji Integrated Computerized Systems (SISKOHAT) on Thursday (local time), the number of pilgrims who had arrived in Indonesia reached 76,791 people.

Pilgrims who died reached 254 people, consisted of 238 regular pilgrims and 16 special pilgrims. Five batches (kloter) are currently waiting for flight via King Abdul Azis International Airport in Jeddah.

A total 119 batches of 2nd group of pilgrims are already in Madinah to carry out Arbaeen pray. Some pilgrims in second group are still in Makkah together with first group who are waiting for repatriation. Meanwhile, 57 batches are still in Makkah. They will be sent back to Indonesia through airport in Jeddah or Madinah.

"Today, 2nd group of pilgrims will be back to Indonesia through King Abdul Azis International Airport ," Regional head of Madinah, Nasrullah said.
