REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANADO - indonesian flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, will expand its business operation in all ASEAN countries as part of the company's strategy ahead ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.
"We are ready for AEC 2015," Garuda's General Manager for Manado, Boydike Kussudiarso, said on Thursday.
According to Kussudiarso, nearly all ASEAN countries were on Garuda's flight destinantions, showing the company's anticipation and preparedness for the AEC.
"We must strive and get ready for 2015," he affirmed, adding that Garuda must strengthen its monitoring stystem on all business sectors including its partners and competitors.
Cities included in Garuda's flight deatinantions are Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok and Bandar Seri Begawan. Garuda will cooperate with local flight to provide service in other cities. For Saigon in Vietnam, for example, Garuda teamed with Vietnam Air as Sky Team Garuda's partner.
Garuda, according to Kussudiarso, is also preparing its qualified human resources. "We will be a loser without qualified human resources," he added.
