REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received a visit from senior politician of China's Communist Party, Wang Jiarui at Presidential Palace on Tuesday. Yudhoyono looks happy with the visit as bilateral relationship between Indonesia and China continues to be strong.
"I hope this visit can enhance the cooperation between Indonesia and China," Yudhoyono said.
According to president, Wang has also contributed to the increase in working relationship over the years. He explained that Indonesia-China relationship run good, including with former Chinese president, Hu Jintao and current president, Xi Jinping.
"I hope also Mr. Joko Widodo - the elected president - could continue to build the relationship with Chinese leaders," Yudoyono added.
Yudhoyono was accompanied by State Secretary (Sudi Silalahi), Minister of Foreign Affairs (Marty Natalegawa), Minister of Defense (Purnomo Yusgiantoro) and Head of Indonesian State Intelligence Agency (Marciano Norman). On Monday, Wang has held a meeting with Jokowi at City Hall Jakarta. He conveyed greeting messages from Chinese president Xi Jinping.
