REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi), known as Jokowi, called on the new members of Jakarta's Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) to support the programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"The new members of the council should be able to support the programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," Jokowi stated on Monday.

According to the president-elect, the development programs of the Jakarta Provincial Government have been arranged and implemented properly, and they need on-field settlement and supervision.

"Actually, all programs have commenced and the remaining one is the normalization of the Ciliwung River. Later, the relocation of the residents in Kampung Pulo and those around the Reservoir of Pluit, Ria-Rio, Krukut, and others will be carried out," he affirmed.

However, he remarked that the construction of flats was the solution to the relocation problem.

"Overall, we are waiting for the construction of the flats. The construction has already started, and it will finish around September," he noted.

A total of 106 members of DPRD for the 2014-2019 term were officially inaugurated today. This number is higher as compared to 96 members in the previous term.
