REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The ongoing leadership meeting of the Golkar Party on its last day, Monday, is expected to discuss a pattern of the party's support to the Joko Widodo (Jokowi) administration.
"Today, (we will) formulate the pattern of support to the Jokowi-JK (administration)," Secretary General of Golkar Idrus Marham noted in the meeting room, Monday.
In general, the meeting's participants agreed on offering support to the government, he stated, adding that it was in line with the results of a consolidation meeting held in Bali some time ago.
The pattern will be formulated by the commission in charge of the organization.
Chairman of the Golkar Party Aburizal Bakrie earlier affirmed that his party would support the government but preferred to remain out of the cabinet.
In supporting the government, the party could contribute its ideas whenever new policies are to be issued, he remarked.
