REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Political observer of Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Siti Zuhro said that lawsuit to Constitutional Court was a positive step to face the dissatisfaction with General Election Commission or KPU's announcement of 2014 presidential election. KPU decided Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jusuf Kalla as the next president and vice president.

Pair of candidate No. 2, Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa then filed a lawsuit to Constitutional Court. Zuhro said that the suspicions of election should be resolved, so that the result was totally legitimate in the eyes of the law.

"If this is incompleted now, it will be a tragedy. Or, we can face same condition like in 2009. It should not happen again," Zuhro said recently.

The electoral competition is really substance. It must be addressed through the law and the evidence must be accepted by all people. If the case is equipped with many legal facts that support the fraud existence, it will be prosecuted.

Zuhro called for all supporters of presidential candidate to accept whatever the result of the lawsuit in the Court hearing. The most important thing is the clarity for public.

"Both sides must accept the result. If there is evidence, then they must accept the law. Supporters should not be angry if their candidates were failed. Sammy Abdullah/Mutia Ramadhani
