REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Seven political parties are committed to establish a permanen coalition belonging to the Red and White coalition led by Prabowo Subianto. The party elites signed an agreement at Proclamation Monument in Central Jakarta on Monday. Vice Chairman of Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon said that the permanent coalition would be applied in parliament and government cabinet. If Prabowo and Hatta Rajasa received a mandate, it would make a better coalition.

"We are optimistic to win this election, so that we can be productive. We are strong in parliament," Zon said recently.

Beside Gerindra Party, the Red and White coalition consists of National Mandate Party (PAN), Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), United Development Party (PPP), Golkar Party and Crescent Star Party (PBB). Democratic Party recently decided to join the coalition but its representative did not attend the permanent coalition inaguration.

The permanent coalition is based on trust among parties, which have same ideas. Lately, Golkar Party was rumoured to change its position if Prabowo-Hatta failed to seat in presidential chair. However, Zon said that it would not happen.

"It is only a hypothetic, just wait and see. We have similar ideas. I'm sure that this coalition will be more stable in future," Zon said.

The permanent Red and White coalition is established not because the power of presidential election, but similar goal for the benefit of Indonesia. So far, he remains optimistic that Prabowo-Hatta will get the mandate from Indonesian people to be President and Vice President.
