Indonesia and Papua Nugini exempt the official and diplomatic passports

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono through Presidential Decree No. 5/2014 on June 4, 2014 has endorsed the agreement between Papua New Guinea and Indonesian government on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports of both countries.

The approval of visa exemption has been signed by Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Marty Natalegawa) and PNG Minister for Foreign Affairs and Immigration (Rimbink Pato) in Jakarta on January 15, 2014. The period of visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports is 30 days, while the validity period at least six months to entering each country.

Minister of Law and Human Rights Amir Syamsuddin said that this Presidential Decree applied since June 4, 2014.
