REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Commission for Child Protection (KPAI) asked Ministry of Law and Human Rights to postpone deportation policy over Jakarta International School's teachers, so that the Police could complete the investigation into the rape case involving JIS kindergarten students and janitors.

About 20 teachers at the school will be deported from Indonesia this week due to immigration violations.

According to KPAI's coordinator, Ariest Merdeka Sirait, government cannot deport them, but taking precautions against the teachers. This case can be difficult to be detected if they must be deported too early.

"We should not let JIS case obscured by the falsification of residence permit. This is not the substance," Sirait said recently.

Jakarta Immigration Office has confirmed that they would deport the 20 teachers on Friday. Head of South Jakarta Immigration Office's Supervision, Anggi Wicaksono explained that the foreign teachers had violated immigration rules because they had falsified their job descriptions.

"For example, a teacher supposed to teach physical education lesson, but he taught out of context," Wicaksono said.
