REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --  President and vice presidential candidate of Red-White coalition, Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa proposed vision and mission of the Independent of Indonesia. Prabowo wanted Indonesian people to stand on their own feet. He said that he tried to fight for a simple value.

"We want to be a country that can feed our people, not depending to others," Prabowo said recently as reported by Irfan Fitrat.

According to Chairman of the Board of Trustees in Gerindra Party, it does not mean that Indonesia hates other nations. This country will continue to respect and build friendship with other countries. However, he will bring Indonesia as honored country and independent country.

"Is that wrong? Why we cannot be independent country (in food sector) to feed  our people? Why we cannot be a respectable nation without the need to beg to other nations?" Prabowo said.

The four star general does not want Indonesia to be a country that always import needs of its people. He cannot let this country to be a full market for imported goods. He cannot let this country dominated by foreign countries. He wants to bring Indonesia more respectable and people can live a better life.

Prabowo proposed nationalization program. However, sometimes the idea becomes a black campaign to scare foreign investors.

There are many ways to defend the national interests beside nationalization program through human resources development.

"The most important thing is human resources development. Indonesian people can live better, honorable, have skills, and improve the science and technology, without loosing the character and faith," Prabowo added.
