REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Newly appointed Chief Economic Minister Chairul Tanjung assured his readiness to cooperate and coordinate with all stakeholders in economic areas in order to work more effectively in the next five months.
"I would like to cooperate with all parties, including the ministers, vice ministers, Bank Indonesia, Financial Service Authority, business world, and all economic ministry officials to work more effectively," Tanjung noted on Monday.
He made the remark after being installed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to replace Hatta Rajasa as the coordinating minister for economy.
Tanjung expressed hope that he will be able to perform well and work hard in the field of economy to build a strong foundation for the next government after the July 9 presidential election.
Besides this, he also encouraged all members of the National Economic Committee to contribute effectively in formulating a policy, which will be beneficial to the nation's economy.
