Pusri exports 70 thousand tonnes of urea fertilizers

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri), a state-owned fertilizer maker has exported 70 thousand tonnes of urea fertilizers to several Asian countries. Company's public relation manager, Sulfa Ghanie said that it could improve revenue and expand market.

"The distribution of non-public service obligation (Non-PSO) fertilizers has reached 128,750 tonnes and 70 thousand tonnes of them were exported," Ghanie said on Wednesday.

Pusri now has four factories with total capacity of 2.262 million tonnes of urea per year. Company is now completing a new plant construction to add capacity production of 457,500 tonnes of urea per year until 2015.

Through expansion into foreign markets, the total production of 2.61 million tonnes of urea per year can be distributed to market and company can add the new plant in future. Ghanie explained that the export activity did not interfere domestic needs.
