REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) announced that Indonesia's foreign exchange (forex) reserves is 102.6 billion USD per March 2014, or recorded a slight decrease compared to 102.7 billion USD per February 2014. Executive Director of Communication Department in BI, Tirta Segara said that the figure could finance 5.9 months of imports and three months of external debt.

"The decline in foreign exchange reserves is mainly influenced by global government bond payment obligations that mature in March 2014," Segara said recently.

BI saw that foreign exchange reserves were still stable to support external sector and maintaining sustainable economic growth Indonesia in future.
