Six political parties file lawsuits over electoral disputes

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Six political parties filed their lawsuits over electoral disputes. The parties are disqualified after failing to submit campaign fund report to the General Election Commission (KPU).

An offical at Election Supervisory Committee (Bawaslu), Nasrullah, the deadline for filling the awsuit was Wednesday night. Those six parties are Indonesian Democratic Party Struggle (PDIP), Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra), United Development Party (PPP), National Mandate Party (PAN), Democratic Party and Crescent Star Party (PBB ).

Meanwhile, 15 candidates of Regional Representative Council (DPD) also filed their lawsuit over electoral disputes. They are Zakarias, Agustinus Clarus and Yakobus Kumis from West Kalimantan, Kasmawati Basamalah (South Sulawesi), Taufikurrahman (South Sumatra), Zainuddin T Aminulla and Raymond Sahetapy from Central Sulawesi, and Sudiro Santoso (Central Java). The others are Ahmad Rusdi (Banten), Theofilus Waimuri (Papua), Asyera Wondalero, Arieston Dappa, Aleksius Armanjaya and Romanus Ndau from East Nusa Tenggara.
