REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - Ade Irawan has been named the new coordinator of the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) as a successor to Danang Widoyoko.
Irawan has had experience in program management and advocacy in the ICW, and he would surely be capable in leading the anti-corruption NGO to be more active and creative in eradicating corruption activities, Widoyoko stated here on Friday. The appointment of the new ICW coordinator as of March 1 also marked the regeneration in the NGO leadership.
"Thank you for the support and assistance so far in strengthening the anti-corruption movement in Indonesia," Widoyoko, who will soon leave for Australia's National University (ANU) for PhD program, remarked.
Ade Irawan has joined the ICW since 2001. He started as a volunteer and was later appointed as the monitoring and public service coordinator, and the political corruption monitoring coordinator.
