REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian government is exploring joint cooperation with Poland government in terms of green technology, which is expected to give benefits for both countries. Poland delegations for Green Technology Mission and also Secretary of State of Water Resources, HE Stanislaw Gawlowski come to Jakarta on Tuesday and meet with Minister of Environment, Balthasar Kambuaya.
"We hope this cooperation can share our knowledges in developing green technology," Kambuaya said on Tuesday.
Poland delegation is composed of high officials of Ministry of Environment, President Director of National Water Management Institute, Head of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, as well as two directors of companies. Indonesian Ambassador to Poland, Darmansjah Djumala also accompanied the delegations.
To explore the cooperation, Poland delegation will also explore cooperation of waste management and waste water by local government of Jakarta, South Sumatra and South Kalimantan.
Both companies previously has signed a memorandum of understanding on Climate Change, Environmental Technologies for Air Pollution, Water Pollution and Waste Management, Environmental Sustainable Development and Ozone Layer Protection on November 20, 2013. Both companies also conducted a bilateral meeting to focus on river management in Sumatra and Kalimantan, especially for waste management and waste water.
