REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) has named three of its politicians as presidential candidates, namely Hidayat Nur Wahid, Anis Matta and Ahmad Heryawan. Three of them will follow public test to see each popularity, also to assess the community support.
"The public test will run until legislative election. PKS Syuro Council will decide one of three names," Chairman of Commission I of the House of Representative who is also PKS Deputy Secretary General, Mahfudz Siddiq said recently.
Socialization or public test to each candidate is relatively similar to Democratic Party Convention. Siddiq said that this test would increase popularity of each candidate, as well as party's electability.
No one of the three candidates have crowned the top three at survey of presidential candidates by major pollsters. Their ratings are far below Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle’s (PDI-P) Joko Widodo (a.k.a Jokowi) and Chairman of Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra), Lt Gen. (ret) Prabowo Subianto.
