REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Panin Bank Syariah, the Islamic banking unit of Bank Panin Indonesia, plans to provide prospective hajj saving service for hajj and umrah. Managing Director of Panin Bank Syariah, Deny Hendrawati said that the bank had been entrusted by the government to receive Payment for Hajj Operational Cost (BPIH).

Hendrawati said that company targetted hajj and umrah fund between 1 trillion to 1.5 trillion IDR from four thousands to five thousands customers. Panin Bank Syariah also develops e-banking service.

"We will join Book II category of Bank Indonesia (with core capital in range of 1-5 trillion IDR), so we must develop e-banking," Hendrawati said recently.

E-banking service is connected by online to the Integrated Hajj Computerized System (Siskohat) at Ministry of Religious Affairs. Hence, customer's name who has met the minium saving will be automatically enlisted as a prospective hajj. According central bank's new rule, Bank Panin Syariah can use its 500 parent's networks across Indonesia.
