Ministry: Oil and gas lifting is below the target

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources announced the realization of oil and gas lifting in period of December 2012 to November 2013 was 825 thousand barrels per day or 98 percent of revised budget in 2013. While gas lifting for the same period reached 7.125 million British thermal unit per day or 99 percent of the revised budget in 2013.

"Indonesia's Crude Price (ICP) reached 105.82 USD per barrel or 98.3 percent from the assumption on the State Budget 2013 worth 108 USD per barrel," Program Director of Oil and Gas in Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Naryanto Wagimin said recently.

Wagimin admitted some obstacles due to operational, developing, and non technical problems. Government and the parliament has reached agreement on macro assumptions of oil and gas lifting in State Budget 2014, which is 870 thousand barrels of oil per day and 7.175 million MMBTU of natural gas. The ICP is assumed at 105 USD per barrel with exchange rate of 10,500 IDR per USD. Regional governments are expected to use these assumptions for their Regional Budget 2014.
