REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Popera four-piece, Il Divo is scheduled to come back to Jakarta in March 2014 in a concert entitled Il Divo-Musical Affair: The Greatest Songs of Broadway Live. The concert will be held at Ballroom of Ritz Carlton Pacific Place on March 21, 2014.
Group that comprised of Urs Buhler (tenor), Carlos Marin (bariton), David Miller (tenor) and Sebastien Izambard performed in Jakarta in 2007, 2009 and 2012. This time they will have the Southeast Asian tour to promote its sixth album, A Musical Affair. This group will sing some popular songs from Broadway since the group is well known in playing opera.
Marin played as Marius in Les Miserable movie (1993) in Spain while Miller casted as Rodolfo in La Boheme opera (2003) and received seven Tonny Award nominations for his performance.
"Singing songs from the legendary Broadway musical for our new album is an inspiring experience. We cannot wait to perform in our style to all fans around the world," Buhler said in a written statement on Wednesday.
