REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has not found an evidence to back up allegation that part of graft money received by former head of the upstream oil and gas regulator (SKK Migas) Rudi Rubiandini, had gone to lawmakers of Commission VII of the House of Representatives.

Rudi Rubiandini told the court earlier that he gave US$200,000 of the money he received from a company to Tri Julianto, a lawmaker of the ruling Democrartic Party of the Commission VII.

The allegation by Rudi, who was caught red handed by KPK receiving bribe money last August, is being investigated, KPK spokesman Johan Budi said here on Tuesday.

Johan said Rudi's testimony in court had to be investigated.

Rudi said someday before Idul Fitri last year Commission VII chairman Sutan Bhatoegana asked him for "Idul Fitri gift" for all lawmakers of the Commission VII.

He said Sutan also often asked him for a meeting to discuss 'many things" and to introduce him to business leaders taking part in oil and gas tenders held by the SKK Migas.

Sutan, however, had repeatedly denied the allegation, but admitted to have met Rudi several times.

Sutan, who is also a member of the ruling party said he had never told anyone including Tri Yulianto to pick up money from Rudi.

He said his meetings with Rudi were part of communications between Commission VII and its working partner SKK Migas.

Last week KPK ransacked Sutan,s luxurious house at Sipatahunan Vila Duta, Bogor and his working office at the House of Representatives searching for evidence to back up Rudi's accusation.

At the same day KPK also raided the houses of other lawmakers including Tri Julinato in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Zainuddin Amali in Cipinang Melayu and Irianto Muhyi in North Bekasi as well as the working offices of Zainuddin Amali and Tri Julianto the offices of the Democrat and Golkar factions at the House of Representatives.
