REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri, one of public banks in Indonesia, reached the highest brand point, which is up to US 1,247 billion dollar, according to a survey company, Brand Finance.
Bank Mandiris Corporate Secretary Nixon Napitupulu said on the press statement on the weekend, Brand Finance analyzed the major domestic companies in Indonesia through a brand-strength index and announced that Bank Mandiri got the highest score.
"We are very grateful that Bank Mandiri's brand is the highest among others in banking industry. This achievement was the result of hard work from all of Bank Mandiri stake-holders and we do hope this will push our attempt to be the best bank in ASEAN by 2020," Napitupulu said.
In 2007 to 2008, Bank Mandiri had started a re-branding process, including its market positioning. Bank Mandiri is the strongest public bank in Indonesia with total asset reached 700.1 trillion IDR until September 2013, which mostly supported by credit distribution growth to 450.8 trillion IDR.
The credit distribution growth was also increased Bank Mandiri net profit to 12.8 trillion IDR from 11.1 trillion IDR in third quarter of 2012.
