XL gets 300 million USD loan

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesia's third largest mobile phone operator, PT XL Axiata announced loan agreement with DBS Bank Ltd worth 300 million USD without guaranty assets.

 XL corporate secretary, Murni Nurdini said that the loan would be used to refinance company's debt.

"The signing of loan agreement was conducted on January 6, 2014," Nurdini said in a written statement on Wednesday.

XL uses the loan for annual capital expenditure. Short term liabilities of XL decreased from 8.73 trillion IDR in September 2012 to 7.2 trillion IDR in September 2013. Long term liabilities rose from 11.34 trillion IDR to 16.71 trillion IDR.

Company has 39.16 trillion IDR of total asset in the end of third quarter of 2013. Xl recently obtained permission to acquire PT AXIS Telecom from Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. It will expand XL resources and providing XL additional capacity.
