PNM optimistic to fund SMEs up to 3.2 trillion IDR

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- State financing firm PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) expects to fund micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of 3.2 trilion IDR this year. President Director of PNM, Parman Nataatmadja said that financing through Micro-Credit Service Unit (ULaMM) has reached 3.1 trillion IDR per November 2013.

"We grow up 12.8 percent compared to same period last year," Nataatmadja said on Tuesday.

ULaMM financing is used by 71,606 SMEs, increasing of 17.4 percent compared to November 2012. Nataatmadja is optimistic that the target of 3.2 trillion can be exceeded. PNM continues to diversify its funding sources, from banking and also fresh fund from capital market.

PNM also gets funding from Indonesian Export Financing Institution or Indonesia Exim Bank worth 300 billion IDR. PNM also issued medium term notes of 135 billion IDR. PNM has got new financing from banks and capital market worth 2.082 trillion IDR. Majority of new funding is derived from capital market (1.269 trillion IDR) or 61 percent.
